What is Laser Cutting?
The process involves the use of a high-powered laser, typically a carbon dioxide (CO2) or fiber laser, which emits a concentrated beam of light. The laser beam is directed through a series of mirrors and lenses, which focus it into a tiny, intense point. When this focused beam makes contact with the material’s surface, it rapidly heats and vaporizes or melts the material, creating a precise cut or engraving.
Laser cutting is renowned for its ability to cut intricate shapes, produce clean edges, and work with a wide range of materials, including metals, plastics, wood, and textiles. Its accuracy, speed, and versatility make it a popular choice for various industrial and artistic applications.
